Directions
- Heat a large skillet or pan over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Add the thinly sliced onions to the pan and sauté them, stirring frequently, until they become caramelized and turn a golden brown color. This should take approximately 10 minutes. Be patient; slow cooking the onions is key to achieving that sweet caramelization.
- Add the rinsed and drained garbanzo beans to the pan with the caramelized onions.
